Heat exchangers are devices that transfer a portion of heat from a hot fluid to a cold fluid, also known as heat exchangers. They are a common piece of equipment in many industrial sectors such as chemicals, oil, power, food, and others, holding a significant position in production. In chemical production, heat exchangers can serve as heaters, coolers, condensers, evaporators, and reboilers, with an even broader application. There are many types of heat exchangers, but they can generally be divided into three main categories based on the principles and methods of heat exchange between cold and hot fluids: shell-and-tube, mixed flow, and regenerative. Among the three types, shell-and-tube heat exchangers are most commonly used.
