One, Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether produced through a series of chemical processes from natural high molecular material.
It embodies nearly all the properties of methylcellulose (MC), making it an excellent choice as an additive for producing high-quality building materials. To meet the demand for green and environmental protection, our factory has specially developed and produced Tashong brand products for the building materials industry, which feature high water retention, good dispersibility, fine particle size, good workability, and easy solubility; suitable for new building materials such as dry powder mortar, water-resistant jointing compound for interior and exterior walls, adhesives, sealants, primers, water-based paints, self-leveling agents, and more.
In the production of construction materials, cellulose ether is an indispensable additive. After adding HPMC, the following properties can be improved:
1. Water Retention – Enhances water retention, improving the performance of cement and plaster building materials, preventing issues such as rapid drying, insufficient hydration, and poor hardening or cracking.
2. Workability – Enhances the plasticity of mortar, improves the industrial nature of construction spreading, and boosts work efficiency.
3. Adhesiveness - The increased plasticity of the mortar allows for better bonding with the base material and adhered objects.
