
Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC)
One, Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether produced from natural high molecular materials through a series of chemical processing.
It encompasses nearly all the properties of methylcellulose (MC), making it an ideal additive for producing high-quality building materials. To meet the demand for green and environmentally friendly products, our factory has specially developed and produced the Tashong brand, which boasts high water retention, excellent dispersion, fine particle size, good workability, and ease of dissolution; it is suitable for new building materials such as dry powder mortar, water-resistant jointing compound for interior and exterior walls, adhesives, sealants, primers, water-based paints, and self-leveling agents.
In the production of construction materials, cellulose ether is an indispensable additive. After adding HPMC, the following properties can be improved:
1. Water Retention – Enhance water retention to improve the quality of cement and plaster materials, preventing issues such as rapid drying, insufficient hydration, and poor hardening or cracking.
2. Operability – Enhances the plasticity of mortar, improves the industrial quality of construction mortar application, and boosts work efficiency.
3. Adhesiveness – Due to the increased plasticity of the mortar, it can better bond with the base material and the bonded item.
Viscosity available in 50,000/100,000/150,000/200,000/250,000 cSt grades, select the specification viscosity as required for use.
