
Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC)
One, Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether obtained by chemical processing of natural high molecular materials.
It encompasses nearly all the properties of methylcellulose (MC), making it an ideal additive for producing high-quality building materials. To meet the demand for green and environmentally friendly products, our factory has specially developed and produced Tashong brand products, which feature high water retention, excellent dispersion, fine particle size, good workability, and ease of dissolution; they are suitable for new building materials such as dry powder mortar, water-resistant putty powder (paste) for interior and exterior walls, adhesives, sealants, primer, water-based coatings, self-leveling agents, and more.
In the production of construction materials, cellulose ether is an indispensable additive. After adding HPMC, the following properties can be improved:
1. Water Retention – Enhances water retention, improving the quality of cement and gypsum materials by preventing rapid drying and inadequate hydration, which can lead to poor hardening and cracking.
2. Workability – Enhanced plasticity of mortar, improving the industrial nature of construction, and increasing work efficiency.
3. Adhesiveness – Due to the increased plasticity of the mortar, it can better adhere to the base material and adhered objects.
Viscosity available in 50,000/100,000/150,000/200,000/250,000 units, select the appropriate viscosity grade as needed.
