A fire reservoir is an artificial water storage facility designed for fixed or mobile fire pumps to draw water from.
When any of the following conditions are met: the municipal water supply network or the main incoming pipeline cannot meet the indoor and outdoor fire fighting water design flow; a single fire water supply line is used or there is only one main incoming pipeline; the design flow of outdoor fire hydrants exceeds 20L/s or the building height is greater than 50m; or the municipal fire fighting water design flow is less than the building's indoor and outdoor fire fighting water design flow, a fire reservoir should be installed.
Any that meet the following regulations should have a fire reservoir set up.

When the production and domestic water usage reaches a high volume, the municipal water supply network or the main pipeline entering the residence cannot meet the design flow rate for indoor and outdoor fire protection water supply.
2. When a single fire water supply line is used or there is only one main entry pipe, and the outdoor fire hydrant design flow rate exceeds 20 L/s or the building height is greater than 50 meters.
3. The municipal fire hydrant water supply design flow rate is less than the building's indoor and outdoor fire hydrant water supply design flow rate.
