A fire pond is an artificial storage facility designed for supplying fixed or mobile fire pumps with water.
When any of the following conditions are met: the municipal water supply network or the main water intake pipe cannot meet the indoor and outdoor fire protection water design flow; a single fire protection water supply line is used or there is only one main water intake pipe, and the outdoor fire hydrant design flow exceeds 20L/s or the building height is greater than 50m; or the municipal fire protection water design flow is less than the building's indoor and outdoor fire protection water design flow, a fire protection reservoir should be set up.
If any of the following regulations are met, a fire reservoir should be provided.

1. When the volume of production and domestic water usage is high, the municipal water supply network or the main water intake pipe cannot meet the design flow rate for indoor and outdoor firefighting water supply.
2. When using a single fire供水 line or only one main water supply pipe, and the outdoor fire hydrant design flow is greater than 20 L/s or the building height is over 50 meters.
3. The municipal fire water supply design flow is less than the fire water supply design flow for the building's interior and exterior.
