Description:MercadoLibre collaborates with various logistics suppliers across Latin America to offer sellers excellent transportation solutions. MercadoLibre also focuses on next-day delivery and plans to establish distribution centers, seeking partners to shorten delivery times throughout the region.
MercadoLibre's Self-Shipping Model:
After the buyer places an order, the seller ships domestically to the buyer's receiving address, offering a door-to-door delivery service. This approach is relatively flexible, as the seller is responsible for finding a freight forwarder or courier to transport the goods.
Currently, the Mexico, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia sites are all available for self-shipment models. Among them, the Brazil and Colombia sites currently only offer the self-shipment model, handled by Mercado Libre's logistics, shipping from within China.

Advantages of MercadoLibre:
1. Join the Cross-Border Trade (CBT) program, one account for managing multiple regions.
2. Language Barrier-Free: English backend, product listings, and customer service issues automatically translated into local languages (Portuguese/Spanish), reducing language barriers and enhancing customer experience.
3. Multiple Logistics Models:
Collaborative logistics supported routes: China-Mexico/Chile/Brazil; USA-Mexico/Argentina; Sellers can choose their own logistics, but it must meet the requirements of full tracking and fast delivery to the customer.
4. Local warehousing and distribution services in Mexico.
5. Flexible Payment Terms: Supports local currency and common settlement methods for payment, with sellers settling in USD.

Due to the underdeveloped logistics infrastructure and incomplete network coverage in Latin America, package loss often occurs during delivery. To address this issue, MercadoLibre has established an in-house logistics system and collaborated with third-party logistics operators to offer storage and fulfillment services to platform sellers. They even founded a logistics airline, Mercado Air, covering major routes in Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina.

MercadoLibre platform charges sellers a transaction processing fee as a percentage of the payment amount (TPV), in addition to the product transaction commission (note: considered commercial income). Furthermore, it generates revenue through various financial services, such as offering installment payments to buyers, loans to sellers, and processing fees for sellers' withdrawals. It also sells mobile sales terminal products to offline merchants and provides mobile payment services.
