The Differences Between Artificial Stone PC Tiles and Permeable Artificial Stone Tiles
Whether it's imitated stone PC bricks or permeable imitation stone bricks, they both fall under the category of paving bricks and can be widely used in pedestrian crossings, commercial squares, municipal engineering, and garden landscape construction. However, for customers who are just touching these two types of permeable decorative building materials, they feel that they are all the same imitation stone bricks with different names. In fact, there are differences:
I. Different raw materials
Although both artificial stone bricks and PC bricks are produced through secondary material processing and are fired at temperatures above 1200 degrees, the raw material for artificial stone bricks is porcelain granules, while the raw material for PC bricks is recycled porcelain waste after crushing.
II. Variations in Permeability
Imitation stone PC bricks do not have permeability or have relatively weak permeability; essentially, they are more akin to marble. In contrast, imitation stone permeable bricks are a newer generation of ceramic permeable bricks. They possess the marble surface and also the permeability characteristics of ceramic permeable bricks, with no distinction in permeability from standard ceramic permeable bricks. Additionally, we consider the basic construction needs for sponge city projects and marble flooring products.
Section 3: Varying Strengths
Due to different raw materials, the strength of artificial stone PC bricks and permeable bricks varies. For normal 20mm thick artificial stone PC bricks, consider the MCV Auto Mall; however, for permeable bricks, a thickness of 50mm or more is necessary to consider.
IV. Varying Costs
The price of imitation stone PC bricks is more cost-effective compared to imitation stone permeable bricks. Besides the product cost, the key factor is the logistics cost. Taking 20mm thick imitation stone PC bricks and 55mm thick imitation stone permeable bricks as examples, one ton of imitation stone bricks can be loaded with approximately 25㎡, while the imitation stone permeable bricks can only be loaded with about 10㎡, significantly increasing transportation costs.
Here's the difference between artificial stone PC bricks and permeable bricks. We believe this comparison will give everyone a simple understanding of PC bricks and permeable bricks.
