Design of fixture jigs is generally conducted after the process of mechanical machining for parts is established, in accordance with the specific requirements of a particular operation. When establishing the process, the feasibility of the fixture should be fully considered, and modifications to the process can be proposed if necessary during the design of the fixture jigs. The quality of fixture jig design is determined by its ability to consistently ensure the processing quality of the workpiece, high production efficiency, low costs, easy chip removal, safe and labor-saving operation, and ease of manufacturing and maintenance. The basic principles of fixture jig design include ensuring the stability and reliability of workpiece positioning during use; having sufficient load or clamping force to ensure the processing of the workpiece on the fixture; facilitating simple and rapid operations during clamping; easily damaged parts must be in a structure that allows for quick replacement, and other tools should not be needed under sufficient conditions; ensuring the reliability of repeated positioning during adjustment or replacement of the fixture; avoiding complex structures and high costs as much as possible; selecting standard components as components to the maximum extent possible; and forming a systematic and standardized internal product system for the company. Basic knowledge of fixture jig design: An excellent machine tool fixture must meet the following basic requirements: Ensure the processing accuracy of the workpiece; the key to ensuring processing accuracy lies in correctly selecting the positioning datum, method, and elements, and performing positioning error analysis if necessary. It is also important to note the impact of the structure of other components within the fixture on processing accuracy, ensuring that the fixture meets the processing accuracy requirements of the workpiece. Improve production efficiency; the complexity of the fixture should be appropriate for the production capacity, and various rapid clamping mechanisms should be adopted to ensure ease of operation, shorten auxiliary time, and increase production efficiency. Good process performance; the structure of the fixture should be as simple and reasonable as possible, facilitating manufacturing, assembly, adjustment, inspection, and maintenance.
