Product Details
Active white clay is an adsorbent made from clay (mainly bentonite) that undergoes inorganic acid treatment, followed by water washing and drying. It appears as a milky white powder with strong adsorption capabilities, capable of吸附 colored and organic substances. It is prone to moisture absorption in the air and its adsorption properties may degrade over time. However, when heated above 300 degrees Celsius, it begins to lose crystalline water, altering its structure and affecting its de-coloring effect. Active white clay is insoluble in water, organic solvents, and various oils, but it dissolves almost completely in hot caustic soda and hydrochloric acid. Its relative density is between 2.3 and 2.5, and it swells slightly in water and oil.
Performance
Choose with strong adsorption capacity, high decolorization rate, low oil content, fast filtration speed, and low addition amount.
2. Effective removal of total phospholipids, saponins, and trace metal ions, serving as a natural antioxidant.
3. Remove aflatoxins, pesticide residues, and off-odors from the oil.
4. The oil product after decolorization does not show a return in acidity, does not revert to its original color, remains clear and transparent, with stable quality and a long shelf life.
5. Particularly suitable for the refining production of mineral oils, vegetable oils, and animal oils.
Application Scope
Refining of vegetable and animal oils, used for decolorization and purification, removing harmful pigments, phospholipids, saponins, and cotton acids from the oil, thus making it a better edible oil.
In the petroleum industry, used for refining, de-colorization, purification, and cracking of minerals such as oil, grease, paraffin wax, wax oil, and kerosene.
In the food industry, used as a clarifying agent for wine and candy juice, stabilization treatment for beer, saccharification process, sugar juice purification, etc.
In the chemical industry, used as a catalyst, filler, desiccant, adsorbent, and flocculant for wastewater treatment.
In national and medical hygiene sectors, it can be formulated into decontaminating agents. With the development of society and science, the application of activated clay is becoming increasingly widespread.
