The new regulation of GA38-2021 for Security Requirements of Bank Self-service Equipment and Self-service Banking requires that the security system be equipped with an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). The backup power should ensure that the video surveillance system operates normally for at least 2 hours after the power is cut off from the municipal power supply; the alarm system should operate normally for at least 8 hours; for access control systems with locks that can be opened by power interruption, the normal operating time should not be less than 48 hours; upon the interruption of municipal power supply, the system should send an alarm message to the connected monitoring center.
