Activated carbon adsorption-desorption-catalytic combustion system utilizes the adsorption capacity of activated carbon to absorb organic matter from waste gases. After the activated carbon becomes saturated, the adsorbed organic matter is desorbed by hot air. The desorbed high-concentration organic gases are then oxidized into carbon dioxide and water through catalytic combustion. The activated carbon after desorption can be reused. The activated carbon adsorption-desorption-catalytic combustion method has moderate investment costs and low operating expenses, and is widely used in VOCs waste gas treatment.

The system operation is divided into the following sections:

1) Adsorption Process: After collection, the waste gas undergoes pretreatment (dry filtration to remove particulate matter, preventing clogging of activated carbon), then it is pressurized by a fan and enters the adsorption tank. Organic matter is captured by the activated carbon, and the purified organic gas is discharged into the atmosphere through an exhaust stack.

2) Desorption: After a certain吸附time, the activated carbon in the吸附tower becomes saturated. The吸附tower then automatically switches to the desorption mode. Fresh air is pressurized by a fan and sequentially passes through an exchanger and a heater, being heated to 70-100°C. The hot air then flows through the吸附bed, performing a thermal sweep. The organic substances adsorbed by the吸附agent are desorbed, and then enter the catalytic combustion chamber. The吸附tower is equipped with multiple temperature sensors for monitoring the temperature at various locations.

3) Catalytic Combustion: The high-concentration organic waste gases are heated to 200-350°C by the heat exchanger and heater inside the catalytic combustion furnace, then enter the catalytic bed. The organic matter undergoes flameless combustion on the catalyst surface, producing non-polluting carbon dioxide and water. The catalyst uses platinum-palladium precious metal catalysts, offering high catalytic efficiency and a low ignition temperature.

4) Safety Control: Multiple temperature sensors are installed in the adsorption tower's adsorption bed and the catalytic combustion furnace to monitor the temperature of all parts. When the temperature exceeds the set value, the system automatically switches to the safety mode.

The adsorption bed is equipped with a spray system, which automatically activates to cool down the system when the bed temperature exceeds a certain level.

The catalytic combustion rate is equipped with a combustible gas concentration detector. When the concentration of combustible gas exceeds 15% of the lower explosive limit, the system's emergency valve automatically opens, and the exhaust is automatically discharged into the chimney.
