Riprap mesh is a material used in hydraulic and ecological engineering, also known as gabion mesh, riprap box, and gabion cage. It is a box-like mesh cage woven from metal wire, made of low-carbon steel wire with high corrosion resistance, high strength, and ductility, or low-carbon steel wire coated with PVC or PE. Riprap mesh is commonly used in slope support, foundation pit support, rock face mesh shotcrete on mountains, slope vegetation, and railway and highway isolation fence nets. Additionally, riprap mesh can be made into box-like structures and mesh pads for erosion protection of rivers, dams, sea dikes, and for reservoir and river sedimentation control nets.
