Fiberglass sculptures are a type of finished sculpture product, characterized by their lightweight, corrosion resistance, and relatively low cost. Fiberglass, also known as FRP or fiber-reinforced plastic, is commonly referred to as glassfiber in China. It is a composite material made up of a synthetic resin matrix and glass fibers and their products as reinforcing materials.

Fiberglass Manufacturing Process: Before the final product is made, a clay model of the desired product is created using a specific clay material. Once the clay model is complete, a gypsum mold is cast around it. The fiberglass (a combination of resin and glass fiber) is then brushed onto the interior of the mold. After it dries, the mold is opened, and the mold is assembled to obtain the finished fiberglass sculpture. However, fiberglass sculptures exposed to the sun and wind outdoors typically start to deform after five years or more, exhibiting weaknesses such as fragility and susceptibility to cracking.
