Description

Welding training is actually a hazardous activity, so it is crucial to strictly adhere to the welding training regulations both before and during the training. Welding is very common in our daily lives, and many people are interested in taking welding training.

Safety Precautions in Welding Training:

1. Prior to welding operations, it is mandatory to wear insulating shoes, use insulated gloves, and don a protective face shield.

2. The installation and removal of the welding machine power supply should be performed by an electrician.

3. Welding machines should have a dedicated switch box; both primary and secondary sides should have protective covers; a shock-proof device should be installed on the secondary side.

Before starting welding operations, ensure that the welding machine and tools are in good condition and safe to use. Replace any equipment found to have a leak before use.

5. Welding machines and switch boxes should be equipped with rainproof measures. Operators should wear gloves and handle switches from the side when opening or closing the circuit breaker.

6. Welding clamps and cables must be well insulated and securely connected; gloves should be worn when replacing welding rods. When working in a damp location, stand on an insulated rubber mat or wooden board.

7. Welding machine wiring should be securely crimped, and both primary and secondary lines should use connector ferrules.

8. No firework approval obtained; electrical welding operations are prohibited.

9. Oxygen cylinders should be avoided from impacts and severe vibrations, and protected from direct sunlight. When freezing, they should be heated with hot water; fire should not be used. It is strictly prohibited to contaminate oxygen cylinders, oxygen gauges, and welding/cutting tools with oil.

10. The welding site should be free of flammable and explosive materials, or they should be covered or isolated.

11. When multiple welding machines are used for集中 welding, the welding platform or workpiece must be grounded, and a light shield should be provided.

12. Open flame operations within the work shed must be equipped with fire extinguishing equipment and should be supervised by a designated person.

13. Strictly prohibited from welding or cutting on pressurized containers or pipelines; power to electrical equipment must be disconnected first.

14. Welding operations outdoors should be halted during thunderstorms.

15. When welding on containers or pipelines that have previously stored flammable, explosive, or toxic materials, they must be clean and all openings must be opened; welding or cutting is prohibited within sealed containers or tanks.

16. When igniting, do not position the welding joint towards anyone. Do not place a burning weld on the workpiece or the ground.

17. When changing locations or moving the cable, the power should be turned off first, and one should not climb ladders or ascend while holding the cable and the connected hose.

18. Welding slag; during welding training, protective goggles or a mask should be worn to prevent the slag from flying and injuring others.

19. After welding is completed, the power supply to the welder should be disconnected, and the work area should be inspected to ensure there is no fire hazard before leaving.

20. Oxygen cylinders must be at least 5 meters away from the cylinder, and at least 10 meters from any open flame; the bottles are strictly prohibited from being placed upside down.

21. Upon completion of the task, the oxygen and cylinder valves should be tightly closed, the safety cap secured, and the work area inspected. Confirm that there is no fire or other hazards before leaving the work location.

Basic Welding Safety Operation Knowledge:

1. Welding operations require wearing insulating shoes, gloves, protective masks, and face shields. Welding slag should be shielded with protective eyewear.

2. Before operation, ensure that the welding machine and tools are in good condition. Any leakage or power issues with the welding machine should be promptly repaired by an electrician. The外壳 must be grounded.

3. Ensure the safety of the secondary circuit wiring for welding while maintaining that the welding clamp and handle wire must be well insulated.

4. When working in damp areas, stand on insulating objects; for firework operations in confined spaces, elevated areas, or places prone to combustion, approval for hazardous work is required. Enhance safety measures such as monitoring, ventilation, prevention, and supervision.

5. Oxygen cylinders must be at least 5 meters apart, and maintain a distance of more than 10 meters from open flames; cylinders should be kept out of direct sunlight, and it is strictly prohibited to contaminate the cylinders and welding/sawing tools with oil or grease.

6. Cylinders must be reinserted into the flame arrester.

7. When igniting, do not position the welding joint towards anyone. Do not place a burning weld on the workpiece or on the ground.

8. Absolutely no welding or cutting on pressurized containers or pipelines; adhere to the "Ten Do Not Weld" regulations for welding and cutting.

9. Electrical equipment for welding and cutting must be disconnected from the power source first.

10. Open flame operations within the work shed must be equipped with fire extinguishing equipment, and a designated person must be on duty to supervise.

11. When moving the line to a new location, the power should be turned off first.

12. No holding of wire reels or climbing ladders connected to hoses for climbing purposes.

13. After welding is completed, the power should be turned off, the oxygen and cylinder valves tightly closed, and the safety cover tightened. Check the operation area and confirm there are no fire hazards or other dangers before leaving.

Essential Skills for Beginner Welders:

1. Keep a steady hand when welding, ensuring both arms are tightly held to prevent shaking. This will ensure a smooth and attractive weld.

2. During welding, typically a zigzag or dot pattern is used to ensure the weld seam is more distinct.

3. During welding, maintain a 45-degree angle between the welding rod and the iron plate for even distribution of the iron, resulting in a smooth weld. When performing overhead welding, as the iron is prone to falling, it is necessary to use spot welding. This method ensures a stronger and more secure weld.

4. When finishing the arc, as the welding rod reaches the end of the weld, make a circular motion at the crater until it is filled, then break the arc.

5. When replacing welding rods or finishing after a temporary arc interruption, as the rod reaches the end of the weld seam, pause slightly at the arc pit, then slowly elevate the arc and guide it into the mother material bevel at the edge of the weld seam. At this point, the molten pool will gradually shrink and, upon solidification, defects typically do not occur.
