Design and production of crucible isostatic molds, graphite crucible and other materials isostatic sintering molds, cold isostatic sintering is a crucial ceramic forming technique. It involves compressing powder material into shape at room temperature through the transmission of isotropic pressure via a fluid medium. Compared to conventional forming techniques, isostatic sintering yields higher green body densities, up to 5% to 15% higher than that of conventional pressing, with uniform density. This makes it suitable for products with large length-to-diameter ratios, such as columns and cylinders. Additionally, isostatic sintering products exhibit excellent properties, leading to the significant application of this technology in the preparation of special ceramics, successfully used in the production of large, complex ceramic products like ceramic antenna covers, vacuum interrupter ceramic tubes, thermocouple protective ceramic sleeves, ceramic tubes for oil drilling made of alumina or zirconia, transparent ceramic sleeves for high-pressure sodium lamps, high-voltage ceramic insulating tubes, spark plugs, and carbon graphite products, among others.
I. Factors Affecting Cold Isostatic Pressing
1. Powder Characteristics: Atomized powder, spherical powder, good compactness; electrolytic powder, good molding properties; particle sizes are generally mixed.
2. Deaeration Function: Cracks, elastic after-effect; vacuum deaeration, add sticky felt, filter paper, and graphite paper inside the packaging.
3. Additives
4. Lubricants: Reduce friction between particles, mold, and workpieces; Binder: Glycerol (Glycerin)
Dry sack method
(1) Powder weighing; (2) Powder filling; (3) Sealed packaging; (4) Vacuum degassing mold placed inside high-pressure steel; (5) Pressure increase; (6) Pressure maintenance; (7) Pressure release, open the high-pressure cylinder, remove the molded piece, measure the molded piece dimensions.
Measurement of the molded blank size
1. Mold assembly and alignment; mold surface dry.
2. Powder Filling: Even powder, high-density filling
3. Sealed
