High Boiling Point Material
Utilizes metallic components for handling materials with a boiling point up to 450°C under vacuum conditions of 0.001 mbar.
Adhesiveness and capacity for solid materials
The scraper immersed in the liquid film generates a strong shearing force, which significantly reduces the viscosity of the mixture. Consequently, materials with a viscosity up to 50 Pas can be processed.
Excess solid content material
The blade immersed in the liquid film generates a strong stirring force, while also preventing solids from scaling on the heating surface.
Color-sensitive materials
In our SY-type short-path distiller, we have designed a device to prevent metal wear. This device is crucial, as it ensures that color-sensitive materials are not affected by non-volatile substances (reconstituents) flowing through the distiller due to metal wear.
High distillation ratio
Utilizing precision-fabricated scraping blades ensures that the liquid film is evenly applied to the heating surface, wetting the entire heated area. This meets the requirement for high distillation ratios, resulting in over 90% of the product being distilled, while maintaining a constant amount of residue.
Low maintenance costs
Due to the reasonable structural design and unique rotor, the abrasion of the scraper blade and the metal surface is avoided.
Structural Features
Precision rotor
The strong turbulence generated by the scraper immersed deeply in the liquid film results in a superior heat transfer ratio on the heating surface compared to other rotor systems (e.g., a metal rod with a PTFE tube).

The above examples show that the same heating area with different scraper blade designs results in different outcomes, with the SY-B model increasing the distillation volume by 20%.
2. Integrated Condenser
Condensers are typically made of coiled pipes, U-shaped pipes, or tube bundles, and are fixed at the bottom of the distiller. The shape of the condenser and the spacing from the heating surface directly affect the purity, yield of the product, and the vacuum level inside the distiller. Therefore, the company, with its long-term experience in evaporation/distillation, designs different internal condensers according to different process materials.
3. Mist Separator
The separator is essential for this product, as it can be inserted between the rotor scraping blades or placed behind them. These splash guards intercept any droplets carried by the steam flow. As the droplets pass through, they are redirected and thrown back to the heating surface for separation.
Type of Equipment
Short-path distillers operate under high vacuum conditions and have special requirements for刮膜片 and the internal condenser. To reduce the thickness of the liquid film and enhance the displacement of the liquid layer, our company categorizes them into two types based on the刮膜片 design.
SY-A Type Short-Range Distiller
The scraper blade is of radial sliding type, derived from the WFE-VA scraper evaporator. The scraper is embedded in the U-guide slot of the rotor, and as the rotor rotates, the scraper is radially sliding from the U-guide slot to the heating wall due to centrifugal force. The guide slots are evenly distributed around the circumference of the rotor (see Figure 1). The rotor is cage-shaped, with a dynamic vapor-liquid separation device between the guide slots to prevent droplet splashing and entrainment.
The material for scraper blades is typically composed of graphite.
SY-B Type Short-Range Distiller
Similarly, the scraper blade of the SY-VB is similar to the WFE-VC (Figure 2), with the scraper blade adhering tightly to the heated wall surface due to centrifugal force. In the SY-B type short-path distillation unit, the scraper blade is limited to prevent metal wear, which is an important feature, especially when handling color-sensitive materials. This is because the non-volatile components of the material flow through the distillation unit, and its color is not affected by metal wear. This type is widely used and can be adapted to various viscosities by adjusting the frequency and quality of the scraper blade to regulate the centrifugal force. The scraper material is typically the same as the metal material of the evaporator cylinder, or it can be made of PTFE.
