The entire plant has 19 leaves, with purple sheaths on the seedling leaves, pale green styles, green anthers, and 7 to 8 branches on the male spike. Regional test results: plant height of 249 cm, ear height of 100-108 cm, cylindrical ear shape, ear length of 18.3-23.6 cm, ear diameter of 5 cm, 16 to 18 rows of grains per ear, 576.5 grains per ear, red axis, yellow grains with deep dentate shape, seed yield of 87.2%-92.6%, and weight of 753.3-783.3 g/l.
Production Performance:
In 2018, participated in the Shandong Joint Crop Union's summer corn variety regional trial (5,000 plants/acre) with an average yield of 673.8 kg/acre, 10.8% higher than the control Zhengdan 958; in 2020, the trial yielded 776.6 kg/acre, 9.4% more than Zhengdan 958; in 2021, the production trial yielded 633.0 kg/acre, also 9.4% higher than Zhengdan 958. In 2023, the Shandong key project field yielded 1,976.8 jin/acre.
Cultivation Techniques Key Points:
Recommended plant density is around 4,500-5,000 plants per acre, with other management measures similar to those for general field crops. Suitable areas: Shandong, Henan, and Hebei summer corn planting regions.

Variety Introduction: Spring-sown with a growth period of 128 days, summer-sown with 98 days. Semi-tight plant shape, leaves ascending, plant height of 268 cm, ear position at 90-95 cm, ear length of about 26 cm, ear thickness of about 7.8 cm, 18-22 rows per ear, 49 grams per hundred grains, red earshells, drought and waterlogging resistance, heat tolerance, no tipburn or hollow stems, good grain quality, high seed yield, a stable and high-yielding variety with mature stalks. Well-developed aerial roots, robust and flexible stems, strong lodging resistance.
Yield Level: Participated in the regional trials of the general group of summer corn varieties in the province from 2013 to 2015, with an average yield of 694.8 kg per mu over three years, a 6.3% increase over Zhengdan 958 as the control. In the production trial in 2016, the average yield was 642.1 kg per mu, a 5.8% increase over Zhengdan 958.
Planting Density: The planting density is 3,800-4,000 seedlings per mu, and the density can be appropriately increased in high water and fertilizer plots. Fertilization: It is recommended to apply 40 kg of bottom fertilizer with a compound fertilizer (total N, P, K content of 45%) per mu, and topdress fertilizers in a timely manner based on seedling conditions.
Reapply spike fertilizer.
Harvest: Approximately 50 kg per acre can be increased one week after the bracts turn yellow.

Variety Origin:
First generation hybrid, consisting of Qixi 501A/Qixi 501B. The female parent, Qixi 501A, is bred from P78599/Reid as the basic material. The male parent, Qixi 501B, is derived from the crossbreeding of H21/Chang7-2 with Chang7-2.
