All paper must be kept clean; damp paper cannot feed properly and may tilt or fold in the paper path. The print quality on damp paper is usually poor. On laser printers, damp spots may appear blurred (or not visible at all). In all cases, paper should be kept free of dust and dirt, as it can contaminate the printer's mechanical components. Always use fresh paper, especially after the printer has been idle for a long time. All paper tends to have a slight natural curl, as it is usually stored in large rolls before cutting.
There's also a type of K paper, which we commonly refer to as open-ended paper, used exclusively in China. Generally, A-type paper is used. Regardless of A or B, Yangzhou A4 paper, its classification is as follows, for instance, A5 is twice the size of A6, A4 is twice the size of A5. A4 paper is recommended, with A3 being twice the size of A4, B4 twice the size of B5, B3 twice the size of B4. The classification for K-type paper involves dividing a large 1K sheet into two to make 2K, then cutting the 2K into halves to get 4K, the 4K into halves for 8K, the 8K into halves for 16K, and so on, with 16K becoming 32K.

Since ancient times, the Chinese have known how to rear silkworms and spin silk. During the Qin and Han dynasties, the handicraft of making silk from lower-quality cocoons was widespread. This method of processing lower-quality cocoons is known as the "silk bleaching method." The basic steps include repeatedly beating to crush the silkworm casing. This technique later evolved into the pulping process in papermaking. Additionally, ancient China commonly used lime water or ash water from plants to degum silk and hemp, which also provided insights for degumming plant fibers in papermaking. Paper developed through these technologies. Archaeological discoveries to date suggest that the invention of papermaking did not occur later than the early Western Han Dynasty.
