Directional valve (also known as three-way diverter or three-way directional switch), is a device used in solid material (powder, granular material, powder-granule mix, sheet material) conveying systems to switch the flow direction of material in the pipeline. The three channels of the three-way directional switch are arranged at an angle, with one inlet and two outlets or two inlets and one outlet. It controls the actuation of the pneumatic actuator through the switching of the solenoid valve. The two positions of the valve core are detected by limit switches, which are directly mounted on the pneumatic actuator. During normal operation, the valve core rotates to one position. After the directional command is issued, it rotates to another position, thereby completing the directional change.
