Ethanol Refining Tower

Main equipment for a distillation column
The main equipment in the rectification process includes: rectification towers, reboilers, condensers, reflux drums, and conveying equipment, etc. The rectification tower is divided into the rectification section above the feed plate and the retention section below. Some liquid mixtures at specific temperatures and pressures enter the rectification tower, where the light components gradually concentrate in the rectification section. After leaving the top of the tower, they condense and enter the reflux drum. A portion is then used as the overhead product (also known as distillate), while the rest is returned to the tower as reflux liquid. The purpose of the reflux liquid is to replenish the light components on the trays, maintaining the liquid composition. The main equipment in the rectification process includes: rectification towers, reboilers, condensers, reflux drums, and conveying equipment, etc. The rectification tower is divided by the feed plate, with the upper section being the rectification section and the lower section the retention section. A portion is also heated in the reboiler and returned to the tower, providing a continuous, ascending steam flow for the rectification operation.
