Lantern rivets are a special type of mandrel rivet that undergoes a special processing technique. After being riveted, the head of the lantern rivet takes on a shape resembling a lantern, hence the name. An advantage of lantern rivets is that the remaining mandrel increases the strength of the rivet, making it less prone to breakage under high shear forces.
High-strength rivets with various styles, corrosion-resistant, and featuring a locked core after riveting, making them difficult to fall off during use. Primarily used for automotive accessories such as plastic instrument panels, interior decorations, and components. Suitable for materials that are fragile or soft, as well as for riveting large and irregularly shaped holes.
The wide-brimmed lantern rivet can replace the feature of padding on both front and back sides. It increases the riveting area and distributes the riveting load.
2. Waterproof lantern rivets feature an added waterproof design, incorporating rubber washers during use to prevent moisture from seeping in under the rivet cap, providing excellent waterproofing.
Widely applied to fragile and soft materials such as plastic products, wood, glass, rubber, car dashboards, car exhaust systems, and light boxes, without damaging the materials being riveted.
