Electric flat car, also known as electric flatbed truck, electric level car, trolley, cross-truck, electric track car, ground climber, etc., is a type of轨内电动厂内运输车辆. Firstly, it is a track-type transportation vehicle that requires the installation of tracks on the ground, typically with I-beam-shaped surfaces in contact with the track. Secondly, it is an electrically powered vehicle that operates automatically under the drive of an electric motor and reducer. Additionally, it is a flatbed vehicle with a flat surface and no canopy; under special circumstances, it can also be non-planar but without a canopy. The body lacks a steering wheel, featuring only forward and reverse directions (even when turning, it relies on the track for maneuvering). This vehicle boasts simple structure, ease of use, high load capacity, resistance to dirt and damage, easy maintenance, and a long service life. Due to its convenience, robustness, affordability, practicality, and ease of cleaning, it has become a transportation tool for frequent, short-distance, fixed-point heavy cargo transport within and between factory buildings.
Electric trolleys are mainly used in mobile lifting water transport vehicles, etc.; in brick factories, kiln factories, refractory factories, ceramic factories, and calcining factories for electric kiln loading and unloading vehicles, etc.; in engineering, tunnels, and environmental sanitation for electric transport vehicles, electric dump trucks, and electric waste collection vehicles, etc. Electric transport and dump trucks are also used in flour mills, mining plants, foundries, chemical factories, furnace material factories, and farms, etc.
