Electric flat wagons, also known as electric flat carts, electric level cars, trolleys, cross-over cars, electric track cars, and ground climbers, are a type of on-site electric rail transport vehicle. Primarily, they are rail-type transport vehicles that require tracks laid on the ground, typically with I-beam surface contact. Secondly, they are electric-powered vehicles that run automatically under the drive of an electric motor and reducer. Additionally, they are flatbed vehicles with a level surface and no cabin cover; in special cases, they can be non-planar but still without a cabin cover. The vehicle body lacks a steering wheel, with only forward and reverse directions (even turns are made by following the track). These vehicles feature simple structure, ease of use, high load capacity, resistance to dirt and damage, easy maintenance, and long service life. Due to their convenience, robustness, economy, practicality, and ease of cleaning, they have become a transportation tool for frequently transporting heavy goods over short distances within and between factory buildings.

Electric flat wagons are primarily used in mobile lifting water conveyance wagons, etc.; for electric loading and unloading wagons in brick factories, kiln factories, refractory factories, ceramic factories, and calcining factories; as well as electric transportation vehicles, electric dump trucks, and electric waste collection vehicles for engineering, tunnels, and environmental sanitation. Electric transportation and dump trucks are also applied in flour mills, ore processing plants, foundries, chemical factories, furnace material factories, and farms, etc.
