The purpose of using compensating wires:
(1) Move the reference end of the thermocouple from the high-temperature location to a place with more stable environmental temperature.
(2) Saves a significant amount of valuable and rare metal materials used in the production of thermocouples.
(3) The use of compensating wire facilitates installation and the laying of the wiring.
(4) Replacing thermocouple wires with thicker diameters and higher conductivity can reduce the resistance in the thermocouple circuit, benefiting measurement and automatic control.
Please note the following points when using compensating conductors:
(1) Various compensation wires are only compatible with corresponding thermocouple models. This means that the thermoelectric properties of each thermocouple and its matching compensation wire must be identical within the specified temperature range (0~100℃).
(2) The temperature at the compensation wire and thermocouple connection point must not exceed the specified operating temperature.
(3) When compensating wires and thermocouples are connected to instruments, the positive and negative poles must not be reversed, and the two sets of connection points must be at the same temperature.
(4) Select the wire diameter of the compensating conductor based on the line resistance requirements of the instrument to be paired.
