The Legend of the Longevity Flower
Legends tell of a time long ago when a mountain was abundant with longevity flowers. On the mountain, there was also a Dragon King's Pond. The Emperor of the Heavens, to prevent the longevity flowers from being stolen, dispatched the Weaving Maid to weave a seven-layered brocade that enveloped the entire mountain. Additionally, a black dragon was sent to guard it. Later, to prevent the creatures in the pond from causing mischief, a layer of dark water was sprinkled over the Dragon King's Pond. Eventually, the second son of the Silver Dragon King and the third daughter of the Dark Water Dragon King came up with a plan. Not only did they persuade the Emperor to remove the dark water, but they also scattered the seeds of the longevity flowers to the human world, allowing humans to attain longevity. Moreover, they freed the purple marten that had been captured due to the longevity flowers.
