FZ-01P Model Water Surface Evaporation Observation Digital Platform System Equipment (20-meter Evaporation Pool)


Introduction:


The FZ-01P type surface evaporation observation digital platform system (hereinafter referred to as the "Digital Platform" system or "System") is a complete set of equipment for automatic surface evaporation observation, suitable for 20m², 5m², and 1m² evaporation ponds. It includes: FFZ-01 digital surface evaporation gauge, JFZ-01 digital rain gauge, numerical control overflow well, numerical control water tank, data acquisition and control box, matching circuit and water facilities, and host computer system, etc.


This digital evaporation observation platform meets all technical specifications required by the Ministry of Water Resources and Electric Power's "Water Surface Evaporation Observation Standard" SD265-88 and the China Meteorological Administration's "Ground Meteorological Observation Standard" (2003 edition), and is currently the platform with the highest resolution, measurement accuracy, and level of automation for water surface evaporation observations.

System equipment and on-site installation are illustrated in Figures (1), (2).


System Working Principle: The Water Surface Evaporation Observation Digital Platform System utilizes evaporation gauges, rain gauges, and overflow buckets as basic observation instruments. It automatically collects, processes, and displays information on evaporation, precipitation, and overflow processes, and controls the replenishment and drainage of evaporation ponds and overflow wells. The collectors are connected to the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system and data transmission communication machines (RTUs) via RS485/232 communication interfaces. With the system's accompanying application software, remote monitoring and data compilation for water surface evaporation process information can be achieved and stored in a database.


The water level of the evaporation pond within the operational digital evaporation observation platform should be maintained at the water level marker line. On days without precipitation, the collector automatically collects the change in water level within the evaporation pond to calculate the evaporation amount. Whenever the water level within the evaporation pond drops to the agreed value (10mm below the water level marker line), the collector controls the补水泵B3 (water replenishment pump) to operate at the boundary moment of the observation day (hydrological boundary day at 8:00, meteorological boundary day at 20:00), automatically refilling the pond to restore the water level to the marker line height. Then, using the height after replenishment as the starting point, the evaporation amount for the next period is measured.


On days with precipitation, when the water level in the evaporation pond rises to the agreed-upon level (10 mm above the water level marker), the collector drives pump B1 to function, allowing water from the evaporation pond to flow into the overflow well. The overflow process ends when the water level in the overflow well reaches the agreed-upon level. After the collector collects and calculates the overflow volume data, it starts the overflow well drainage pump B2 to discharge the water from the overflow drum to the agreed-upon base water level.


According to the "Specification for Surface Evaporation Observation" and the "Specification for Ground Meteorological Observation" of the National Meteorological Administration, the calculation formula for evaporation is:


Evaporation volume = (Evaporation Pond Water Level Measurement - Starting Water Level) + Precipitation - Overflow Quantity


The above expression can be simplified to:


         QF =(Wt-W0)+Qj-Qy


In the formula: QF: represents the water surface evaporation amount, unit: mm


Wt: Represents the evaporative pond water level at measurement time (t), unit: mm


W0: Represents the initial evaporation pond water level, unit: mm


The Wt and W0 values are automatically measured by the FFZ-01 digital water surface evaporation gauge.


Qj: Represents the precipitation amount during the measured period; the Qj value is provided by the JFZ-01 digital rainfall gauge, unit: mm


Qy: Indicates the overflow volume during the measured period. The Qy value is automatically measured by the CNC overflow well, unit: mm.
