Overview
This instrument is a single-measurement precipitation gauge, meeting national standards in performance.GB/T11832-2002Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge specifications.
The core component of this instrument, the bucket, features a three-dimensional streamlined design, allowing for smoother water flipping and has the functions of self-cleaning dust and easy cleaning.
Structure, Features
As shown in the figure1Shown, the instrument is composed of a rain collector, filter screen, integrated bracket, water inlet funnel, integrated flip bucket assembly, bucket, bucket support, inclination adjustment device, level adjustment device, permanent magnet steel, reed switch, signal output terminals, drainage funnel, base, stainless steel cylinder, and base support feet.
Unlike other double-bucket rain gauges, this gauge features an integrated component assembly in the upper bucket, which is mounted on a water collector funnel, and its lower bucket serves as the measuring and counting bucket. When installing and using this instrument, no adjustment is required for the upper bucket component. The lower bucket of this type of rain gauge has been equipped with a movable divider plate and two limiting posts to change the rotation direction of the divider plate. During the flipping process, the top water-dividing edge of the movable divider plate of this instrument can automatically rotate to the critical edge of the discharge water column. As the bucket fills and starts to flip, the dividing edge immediately crosses the discharge water column to complete the precipitation switching task between the two water-collecting buckets, thereby shortening the switching time and reducing the measurement error of the instrument.
The hopper support of this instrument features an integrated rotating positioning structure, making the assembly and disassembly of the hopper more convenient, and there is no need to adjust the distance between the two hopper supports, simplifying the installation process for users.
The bucket of this instrument features a three-dimensional streamlined design, equipped with a downward curved surface guide for better water flipping performance, which is aesthetically pleasing, more efficient, and easier to clean and maintain.
The instrument is equipped with two permanent magnets on its flipper, and two reed switches are mounted on the reed switch bracket. The magnets and reed switches are pre-adjusted to an optimal coupling distance at the time of manufacture, ensuring a fixed proportional relationship between the instrument's output signal and the number of flipper flips. One of the two signal outputs is used for on-site counting and measurement, while the other is for remote sensing and signaling. When connecting this instrument to a remote sensing terminal, a matching interface circuit should be provided to prevent counting and signaling errors caused by reed switch oscillation and flipper bounce-back.
This equipment is factory-set with the bucket tilt adjustment screw locked at the tilt base point, and the tilt screw has been painted with a dot of red paint for sealing. When the user installs the equipment on-site, simply place the bucket according to the instructions provided in this manual on the bucket bracket as specified.2The bucket support is adjusted, and the bucket bracket is leveled so that the level bubble is centered, then it can be put into use without further adjusting the bucket tilt angle on-site.
