For plastics, the main purposes are as follows:
1. Maintain constant mold temperature at the working temperature.
2. For thermoplastic materials, a higher mold temperature typically improves surface quality and flowability, but extends cooling time and injection cycle. A lower mold temperature reduces shrinkage within the mold, but increases the shrinkage rate of the molded part after demolding.
3. For thermosetting plastics, a higher mold temperature typically reduces cycle time, with the time being determined by the cooling time required for the part.

The mold temperature control machines are available in two types of heating or cooling methods: oil separation and water circulation. They are used in rubber and plastic equipment for extrusion and injection molding. Our mold temperature control machines are suitable for PC, PP, lens injection molding, carbon fiber hot pressing molds, PVC extrusion dies, and artificial board hydraulic presses.

Mold temperature control machines are primarily used for injection molding and hot pressing of composite materials to maintain constant temperature. The medium that transfers heat from the heater to the mold in an indirect manner is called a heat carrier. Industrial heat carriers can be divided into two major categories: organic heat carriers and inorganic heat carriers, with organic heat carriers commonly referred to as thermal oil.

Our country's research on mold temperature control machines started late, only beginning in the late 1970s, but progress has been rapid. Some products have caught up with similar foreign products. The production materials can be divided into two major categories. One category is made from petroleum products, known as thermal conductive oil. Due to the high specific heat capacity of oil and the ability to select appropriate fractions, resources are also abundant. Generally, naphthenic or aromatic mixed base materials are used, with antioxidant and heat-resistant additives added to produce it. The other category is produced from organic substances.
