Description

A thermal oil heating unit is a new type of environmentally friendly thermal energy conversion device. Electrical energy serves as the energy source, converting electrical energy into heat through electric heating elements; organic thermal carriers (thermal oil) act as the heat transfer medium, with the thermal oil circulated through a high-temperature oil pump within the system. It operates under forced circulation to achieve continuous heat supply for the equipment requiring a steady heat source; it also meets the process temperature and high-precision temperature control requirements set during the production process.

The electric heating thermal oil furnace system consists of a explosion-proof electric heater, an organic heat carrier furnace, an exchanger (configurable), a control cabinet, thermal oil pump, expansion tank, and more, forming an integrated unit. Users only need to connect to the power source and medium. The outlet pipeline and some electrical interfaces are used for heating oil furnaces (also known as heat transfer oil heaters, oil heaters, electric heating and heat transfer oil furnaces). The electric heater is directly inserted into the organic carrier (thermal oil) for direct heating.

Recirculating pump, forces the heat transfer oil to circulate in the liquid phase, transferring heat to one or more heating devices. After the heating devices are unloaded, the oil is recirculated back through the pump, absorbs heat, and transfers it through this method, achieving continuous heat transfer and increasing the temperature of the heated object to meet the heating process requirements. The heat transfer oil heater is equipped with a digital temperature controller to regulate temperature, featuring over-temperature, low oil level, and over-pressure alarms. It is a energy-saving heating equipment used in industries such as chemical, petroleum, machinery, dyeing and printing, food, shipping, textile, and film.

Typically, a heat-conducting oil heater consists of the main unit (heating element, high-temperature oil pump, and filter), a large oil tank, control cabinet, and pipes, forming a complete set of equipment and heating system with a forced liquid circulation heating system.

Selection and oiling of heat-conducting oil for electrically heated oil furnaces:

To choose a thermal oil manufacturer that suits your needs, we generally recommend purchasing synthetic thermal oil from brands like Great Wall,昆仑, and Mobil. The boiling point of the thermal oil should be higher than the system's high operating temperature. As mixing different brand thermal oils is strictly prohibited, it's advisable to consider ease of procurement or purchase extra as backup. After the installation and inspection of the entire heating system are completed, perform system oiling. Add the thermal oil through the filling port of the expansion chamber, and open all valves in the system (except the oil drain valve) during the filling process. Then, slowly inject the thermal oil into the system through the expansion chamber. Stop filling when the liquid level reaches about half the height of the expansion chamber. After filling, cover the filling cap, connect the overflow pipe, and carefully check the operation of all valves in the pipeline. Oil leakage or leakage within the system is strictly prohibited.

Due to the heat transfer oil medium used in electrically heated thermal oil boilers being prone to leakage and combustion, insufficient understanding of its medium properties and operational safety can lead to leaks and fires during operation. However, by identifying common accident hazards and taking targeted preventive measures, the risk of fire accidents in electrically heated thermal oil boilers can be significantly reduced.

Electrically heated thermal oil boiler for dehydration and exhaust gas removal

1. Normal Temperature Exhaust: Power on, open the inlet and outlet valves as well as the exhaust valve of the electric heating thermal oil furnace. Press the oil pump start button. The oil pump operation indicator light should illuminate, and the oil pump should run normally in the direction indicated by the arrow. The pressure gauge should display within the specified range. Monitor the oil pump operation. If any abnormality is detected, immediately shut down and inspect. After troubleshooting, restart the oil pump and perform normal temperature exhaust until the pressure gauge reading stabilizes. During normal temperature exhaust, pay attention to the liquid level in the expansion tank. Refill promptly if it falls below the specified level.

2. Heating and Dewatering: After confirming normal operation at room temperature, proceed with heating, dewatering, and exhaust (operation: please read the heat transfer oil and temperature controller user manuals in detail). The heating, dewatering, and exhaust process can be carried out as follows:

The heating rate is controlled by adjusting the startup heating power; a constant temperature is achieved through temperature control settings.

Step: Heat to 100-120℃. Insulation: When beginning to heat, the temperature increase rate should be controlled within 50℃/h, and monitor the pressure gauge to ensure normal readings. If no pressure or unstable pressure is detected, it indicates residual gas in the system. In this case, repeat the normal temperature exhaust operation, and continue only after the system pressure stabilizes. After heating to 120℃, maintain a long-term insulation period. The duration of insulation depends on the total system capacity and the quality of the heat transfer oil.

Step 2: Heat to 150-180℃ and maintain temperature: Eliminate light components, volatiles, and residual moisture from the oil.

Step 3: After dehydration and exhaust gas removal, close the exhaust valve and initiate normal heating operation.

3. Matters related to the heating, dehydration, and exhaust process: During the heating process of the electrically heated thermal oil furnace, the pipeline may emit knocking sounds, indicating a large amount of gas in the system or a blocked pipeline. In this case, reduce the heating speed and wait for the gas to be expelled to eliminate the noise; if the pipeline is blocked, it should be cleared. During the dehydration and exhaust process, a large amount of gas may rush into the expansion tank, causing the thermal oil to overflow. Before operation, place an overflow container under the overflow pipe. When performing dehydration and exhaust, there must be an on-site staff member to supervise and handle any abnormalities promptly.
