Electrically heated thermal oil furnaces, as a new type of special industrial boiler that is safe, energy-saving, low-pressure, and capable of providing high-temperature heat energy, are gaining rapid and widespread application. However, due to improper operation or poor design, accidents can still occur during the daily use of these furnaces. The following is a preliminary discussion on preventive measures for accidents in electrically heated thermal oil furnaces, based on practical work experience.

The electrically heated thermal oil boiler, as a new type of special industrial boiler that is safe, energy-saving, operates at low pressure, and provides high-temperature heat energy, is gaining rapid and widespread application.

Electrically heated thermal oil boiler features:
Electrically heated thermal oil boiler features a compact structure, small size, light weight, easy installation and operation, rapid heating and temperature rise, and no environmental pollution. It is equipped with computerized automatic temperature control and can achieve higher working temperatures under lower operating pressure.

Electric heating thermal oil furnace main unit installation:
1. The layout of the electric heating thermal oil furnace piping should be low-in, high-out, and efforts should be made to minimize pipe bends to ensure unobstructed flow. The diameters of various pipes in the system should be as consistent as possible with the thermal oil inlet and outlet diameters of the electric heating thermal oil furnace's main unit.
2. Insulate the pipeline of the electrically heated thermal oil heater to prevent unnecessary heat loss and energy waste. However, it is not advisable to add insulation material to the flange joints.
3. The electric heating thermal oil furnace connection should use a flat-welded steel pipe flange with a nominal pressure (Pg) of not less than 1.0 MPa, and the pipeline connection seal can be made with metal-wound graphite gaskets, expanded graphite composite gaskets, or high-temperature heat-resistant rubber asbestos boards.
4. Install exhaust pipes and valves at elevated points in the circulation system piping to facilitate regular exhaust of gaseous by-products during operation. The positioning of the exhaust valve should be user-friendly. Ensure there are no leaks in the metal walls, welds, piping accessories, and connection areas for the electrically heated thermal oil furnace. If pressure testing is conducted using water or steam, thoroughly blow off any water remaining in the system after the pressure test.
