The RCM mark is initiated by Queensland and Victoria, aiming to combine safety and electromagnetic compatibility certifications. As everyone knows, Australia's safety regulations (SAA) and C-TICK are certified separately. SAA applications can be from factories and traders in different countries, while the registration body for C-TICK is an Australian legally registered company. Therefore, during the RCM application process, an Australian legal entity is required, meaning RCM is a certification model that requires an Australian company.
The Australian and New Zealand Electrical Product Testing Certification Body is introducing the RCM mark. This mark, owned by institutions in Australia and New Zealand, serves as a unified identification for electrical products, indicating that they meet both safety and EMC requirements and is non-mandatory.
RCM Certification Application Process
1. Third-party laboratories evaluate products and determine the applicable testing standards.
2. Should any non-compliance issues arise during testing, the laboratory will make necessary adjustments to the product to meet and achieve Australian standards requirements.
3. Passed testing; issued test report.
4. Submit the test report to the Australian certification authority for document review.
5. Australia approved and issued the RCM certificate.
6. Customers may register on the Australian website themselves or have it done by a laboratory.

RCM Certification Precautions
1. The RCM logo must be uniformly added to the products by then, note that this requirement was announced in Australia on April 19, 2013.
2. When conducting RCM safety certification for straight plug adapters, random testing of the plugs is required.
3. Tube products: Such as T8 LED tubes, fluorescent tubes pose a higher safety risk due to direct replacement by users, and samples need to be sent to Australia for assessment.
RCM Certification Fees and Timeline
The charging method for RMC certification is to add 6000 RMB to the C-Tick certification of the product (the cost of C-Tick certification is approximately 1500-3000 RMB, excluding registration; registration requires an additional 6000 RMB on top of the original cost. It is recommended that registered clients go to Australia themselves, which is very convenient), with a turnaround time of 3 weeks.
