Product Details
Fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) sand-filled pipe connections primarily consist of socket-and-spigot, butt joint, and flange types. Among these, socket-and-spigot is a commonly used underground pipeline connection method. Currently, double O-ring seals are frequently employed, involving two sealing rings for connection, with a test pressure mouth required at the socket end. During installation, it is crucial to ensure the test pressure mouth faces upward, positioning it between the two rubber rings.
After the interface is installed, it can be pre-tested for pressure. The test pressure is determined by design. The amount of water required for the test does not need to be excessive, and the duration is typically 3-5 minutes, with no leakage being considered passable. This ensures the sealing effectiveness of each sealing ring, thereby guaranteeing the success of the pipeline pressure test. There are three main types of connection methods between pipes: socket and spigot, butt joint, and flange.
