1. Prepare your moving checklist in advance
Once the moving arrangements are confirmed, you can start compiling a list of items to be moved based on your needs. You can create either a paper or electronic inventory list. The items in your home can generally be categorized into the following areas:
Kitchen; Living Room; Bedroom; Bathroom; Study Room; Balcony; Miscellaneous. For large furniture or valuable fragile items that require packing, please separate them out.
Estimate the amount of packing boxes and materials needed based on the items in each region, and later, use the item list to find movers and book moving vehicles.
2. Prepare packaging tools and materials
After preparing the moving item list, purchase packing materials based on the actual items to be moved. Common packing materials and tools include the following:
① Packaging Materials: cardboard boxes, woven bags, tape, bubble wrap, shrink wrap (food-grade film), labels, marking pens;
② Packing Tools: Scissors, craft knives, sealers, etc.
You can find them both online and at offline supermarkets. If you need extra packaging for large furniture or appliances, you can wait for the movers to arrive and assist you.
4. Choose a reputable moving company
Moving is more than just packing and transporting items. Choosing a legitimate moving company ensures secure packing and transportation, with clear and transparent moving costs, significantly reducing the likelihood of price gouging and arbitrary fees.
