GH-800B Portable Infrared Spectrophotometric Oil Analyzer
Meets National Standards
Meets National Standard "HJ637-2018 Water Quality: Determination of Petroleum and Fats-Oils by Infrared Spectrophotometry"
Meets National Standard "GB16488-1996 Determination of Water Quality, Petroleum and Vegetable Oils by Infrared Spectrophotometry"
2. Technical Principle:
In accordance with the GB16488-1996 and HJ637-2012 national standards, oils in water are extracted using tetrachloroethylene, followed by isolation of impurities and moisture with anhydrous sodium sulfate to separate the oil and tetrachloroethylene solution, and then the total oil content of the extract is determined. The extract can also be adsorbed with magnesium silicate, and after removing polar substances like animal and vegetable oils, the oil content is measured. The total extract and oil content are calculated based on the absorbance at the spectral bands of 2930 cm-1 (C-H stretching vibration in CH2 group), 2960 cm-1 (C-H stretching vibration in CH3 group), and 3030 cm-1 (C-H stretching vibration in aromatic ring), denoted as A2930, A2960, and A3030. The content of animal and vegetable oils is calculated as the difference between the total extract and the oil content.
3. Department of Instrument Use:
Environmental monitoring systems used in petrochemical, hydrological, water supply companies, wastewater treatment plants, thermal power plants, welding materials, steel enterprises, university research and teaching, agricultural environmental monitoring, railway environmental monitoring, automotive manufacturing, marine environmental monitoring, traffic environmental monitoring, and environmental research laboratories.
4. Instrument Application Range:
This instrument is primarily used for measuring the oil content in surface water, groundwater, industrial wastewater, cooking fumes in the catering industry, welding wires, welding rods, soil, and solids.
