TELEC Certification Overview
《The Radio Law mandates type approval for radio equipment (i.e., compliance with technical regulations). Certification is mandatory, and the certifying body is MIC, a registered certification body recognized within the scope of radio equipment. TELEC (Telecom Engineerina Center) is the primary registered certification body for radio equipment compliance certification in Japan. Technical standards for the wireless TELEC certification are detailed in the Radio Equipment Classification and Technical Standards listed under the Technical Regulations Compliance Certification System on their website. It is noteworthy that in cases where these technical standards differ from the technical requirements of the Radio Regulations (Radio Regulatory Commission Rules No.18), the Radio Regulations take precedence.
