The conical wind hood is a device installed at the terminal of the exhaust system, which utilizes wind pressure to enhance exhaust capacity and prevents rain, snow, and other elements from entering the duct. The cylindrical wind hood is suitable for natural exhaust systems. When it is not allowed to have dripping water inside the room while condensation droplets may form within the duct, a drip tray should be installed below the cylindrical wind hood, and the droplets should be routed through pipes to the discharge location.
The conical hood is composed of main components such as the upper cone cap, lower cone cap, upper umbrella cap, and lower umbrella cap.
The conical hood utilizes the natural wind speed of the environment to rotate the turbine of the fan and the principle of air convection between indoor and outdoor spaces. It accelerates any parallel air flow and transforms it into a vertical upward flow, enhancing the indoor ventilation and air exchange. This device operates without electricity, produces no noise, and can run for a long time, removing indoor heat, humidity, and bad odors. Placed rationally at the top of the roof according to the natural laws of air and the principle of air flow, it can quickly expel indoor heat and polluted gases, improving the indoor environment.
