The KIC-12 series incoming line operating mechanism is a matching equipment for the closing and opening operations of load switches in the inflation-type high-voltage ring main units. This series employs flat helical spring energy storage to control the closing and opening actions of load switches, and uses compressed spring energy storage to control the closing and opening actions of the grounding switch. It features three operating positions: closing, opening, and grounding, and the series comes with a five-prevention interlock function.
This series of products is fully inspected and passes quality checks before being shipped, in compliance with GB 3804-2004 "AC High Voltage Load Break Switches 3.6kV-40.5kV," GB 3906-2006 "AC Metal-Enclosed Switchgear and Control Equipment 3.6kV-40.5kV," and the relevant requirements for "AC High Voltage Load Break Switch-Fuse Combination Apparatus."
User Operation Instructions
Circuit Closing Operation:
The mechanism is mounted and secured on the cabinet. Place the mechanism handle into the operation shaft located at the top of the mechanism, then rotate the handle clockwise approximately 90°. When the mechanism's coiled spring is compressed to the critical energy release point, it releases energy. Under the power of energy release, push the load switch to close the main circuit.
Circuit Breaker Operation:
When manually operating the disconnect switch, insert the handle into the operating shaft located at the top of the mechanism, rotate the handle counterclockwise approximately 90°. The mechanism's coiled spring compresses to the energy release critical point, at which point it unlocks and releases energy. Under the power of the energy release, push the load switch to complete the main circuit disconnection.
Grounding and Switching:
Grounding Closure: Insert the mechanism handle into the grounding operation shaft at the bottom of the mechanism, rotate clockwise approximately 90°. The grounding energy storage spring releases its energy instantaneously as it compresses past the midpoint, pushing the grounding switch to complete the grounding closure. At this point, the mechanism interlock locks, preventing main circuit closure.
Grounding Disconnect: Insert the mechanism handle into the grounding operation shaft at the bottom of the mechanism, rotate counterclockwise approximately 90°. As the grounding energy storage spring compresses past the midpoint, it releases energy instantaneously to push the grounding switch into the disconnect position. At this point, the mechanism interlock is in the open state, allowing for closing and opening operations on the load switch.
