Narrow alleyway shelf operation principle:
The rack system is a beam rack system, with the distinguishing feature being the installation of guide tracks for "three-way stacker forklifts" at the bottom of the racks. These tracks are typically made of unequal angle steel. The forklifts used for material handling are limited to "three-way stacker forklifts." The three-way stacker forklifts glide along the designated tracks. The stacking aisles of the rack system are slightly wider than the width of the pallet goods, enabling high-density storage. It also inherits all the advantages of the beam rack system, allowing all materials stored in the racks to be optional, with forklifts able to store any pallet at any time. The fast storage efficiency and very high storage density bring significant production efficiency and cost benefits for storage and logistics centers that are suitable for narrow aisle rack systems.
Narrow Aisle Shelving Application Range:
Consider narrow aisle racking systems if your storage or logistics center exhibits the following characteristics:
Large volume of goods stored, with frequent in and out movements and high selection requirements for the goods.
2. Urgently need to increase storage space or require a certain level of storage capacity in the warehousing and logistics center.
3. Logistics efficiency is required at a high level.
4. The warehouse has a high usable net height, over 8M.
5. Forklifts can be selected with independent warehouse forklifts; there is no plan to use warehouse forklifts for outdoor tasks.
Narrow aisle shelving features:
The narrow-aisle shelving feature is its much narrower aisles compared to standard beam shelving, typically around 1600mm-2000mm, significantly enhancing warehouse space utilization. In today's skyrocketing real estate prices, narrow-aisle shelving is favored by many corporate warehouses. This type of racking requires a specialized forklift—triple-deep stacker trucks—another of its unique features. Due to the narrow aisles, it demands skilled operators with proficient driving skills and meticulous caution in their daily operations.
Next, the narrow aisle shelving is equipped with guide tracks approximately 200mm high after installation (the tracks can be pre-installed during construction or used with pre-made guardrails during shelving installation), serving as a guidance system for forklifts. This reduces the danger caused by human error to the shelves, making the requirements for drivers lower compared to drive-in aisles.
