Perforated drainage boards are a type within the extensive family of drainage boards. They are solid, waterproof, and water-retaining, commonly used in rooftop greening and indoor planting.
Features:
Easy to install, maintain, and cost-effective.
2. High load-bearing and durability.
3. Ensures rapid drainage of excess water.
4. The water storage section can retain a portion of the water.
5. Provides ample moisture and oxygen for plant growth.
6. Light weight and strong roof insulation and heat preservation function.
Construction Notice:
When used in garden flower beds, troughs, and planters, replace conventional materials (such as a filtering layer composed of expanded clay, river pebbles, or shells) with water-retaining boards and filter geotextiles.
2. For greening hard surfaces like new and old roofs, underground engineering ceilings, etc., before laying the water-retaining and drainage boards, first clear the site of debris. Set up the waterproofing layer as per the design drawings, then slope the surface using cement mortar to ensure no significant highs or lows. Arrange the water-retaining and drainage boards in an orderly manner, and no additional drainage traps are needed within the laying area.
3. When used for constructing interlayer boards in buildings, the water-retaining and drainage board is laid on the roof concrete slab, with an additional single wall built around it or protected by concrete. This allows groundwater to seep through the open space of the drainage board and flow into the blind trench to the collection pit.
4. The edge sections of the drainage boards are interconnected, forming gaps during installation that act as a sub-layer drainage system. The geotextile filter and moisture retention layer should also be properly overlapped during installation.
5. Once the drainage board is laid, proceed promptly to install the filter geotextile and media layer to prevent soil, cement, and yellow sand from clogging the channels or entering the water storage, trays, and drainage paths of the drainage board. To ensure the full functionality of the drainage board, a working platform can also be laid on top of the filter geotextile, facilitating landscaping work.
