The passive protection net consists of four main parts: steel wire rope mesh, circular mesh, fixing system, pressure relief rings, and steel columns. The steel columns and steel wire rope mesh are connected to form an integrated unit, providing surface protection for the protected area, thereby preventing the downward fall of collapsing rock and soil mass, and serving as a slope protection function.
Comprised of four main parts: wire rope or circular mesh (with a steel grille added for blocking small falling rocks), a fixing system (anchor rods, tension ropes, bases, and support ropes), a pressure relief ring, and steel columns, with the former being its characteristic components. The protective energy generally ranges from 150 kJ to 2000 kJ, with special fortifications capable of reaching up to 5000 kJ.
