When replacing the carbon brushes for the generator, the following precautions and methods should be observed:
1. Replacement of work must be performed by two individuals and conducted personally by the primary on-duty supervisor.
2. During replacement, staff must wear work uniforms, secure their sleeves, and stand on an insulating mat. Wearing short-sleeved shirts or rolling up sleeves is prohibited. Female workers should tie their long hair inside their safety helmets.
3. Do not touch both poles or one pole to the grounding part with both hands simultaneously. It is not permitted for two individuals to work at the same time.
Remove the pre-replaced carbon brush from the brush holder, hold it in your hand, then loosen the brush bundle screw and remove the carbon brush.
5. Hold the ground carbon brush in your hand, tighten the brush辫screw, and then press the carbon brush into the brush holder using a constant-pressure press.
6. Generally, only 1-2 carbon brushes are allowed to be replaced on each brush holder at a time. The new carbon brushes must be pre-grinded and the models of the new and old brushes must match.
7. Detailed records should be kept after replacement.

Generator non-matching phase operation fault handling measures:
Immediately switch the AVR to manual operation.
2. A phase or two phases of the main circuit of the generator trip solenoid have malfunctioned, causing the generator to operate on an incomplete phase. Immediate reduction of the generator's active and reactive power to a state where no power is supplied is required, and the load current should be limited within the permissible range.
Do not close the main steam valve of the steam turbine or disconnect the demagnetization switch before the main generator switch is not disconnected.
4. Generator unbalanced overloading protection trips; handle as an accident shutdown.
5. During parallel or de-parallel operations, if the generator main switch is not fully closed or opened, the generator output should be quickly reduced to a state where it does not supply power to either side. Open the main switch of the generator-set, and if the main switch cannot be fully opened in three phases, immediately report to the central dispatching for a bus transfer operation. Use the bus tie switch to disconnect the generator from the system.
6. After the generator is subjected to a negative sequence current surge, analysis and calculation show that its I2t exceeds the permissible value. The rotor should be removed for a detailed inspection.
