What is "second-hand equipment"?
So-called "second-hand" refers to a device being transferred from the original owner to another party, meaning the current user did not purchase the equipment directly from the manufacturer. Instead, it has been transferred once or multiple times, and during these transactions, the machinery and equipment (hereinafter referred to as "equipment") has been used at least once. Therefore, the "second-hand equipment" that users typically acquire is used, not brand new.
The necessity of assessing the value of "second-hand" equipment:

If it's a brand-new piece of equipment, its value is relatively easy to determine. However, for "used equipment," the valuation process is more intricate. Not only must buyers understand if the value corresponds reasonably with the price when purchasing "used equipment," but suppliers and manufacturers of "used equipment" also need to assess the value of their old inventory to determine the selling price or consider when to phase out and update the equipment.
3: Equipment Usage Period:
The duration for which the equipment, after maintenance and repair, meets the usage requirements.
Four: Equipment Lifespan: Includes the existence lifespan, financial lifespan, and operational lifespan.
Service Life:
The duration for which the equipment physically remains viable in the environment, for instance, a drill may no longer be functional or repairable, yet it still exists in good condition and can be used for educational exhibitions until it has completely rusted and no longer resembles a drill, at which point its lifespan comes to an end.
Financial lifespan:
Each enterprise or industry has a specified financial lifespan for its machinery and equipment, which is depreciated proportionally each year until it reaches 0, at which point the financial lifespan ends. This duration is generally based on the original design lifespan of the equipment. The financial lifespan is often less than or equal to the design lifespan.
