
1. During the construction of ductile iron pipes in summer, it is advisable to cover the joint sections with soil appropriately.
2. Backfilling the trench should be compacted in layers. If the pipeline crosses a road, to prevent damaging the pipe body, gray cast iron pipes can be backfilled with coarse sand up to the pipe top.
3. If water pressure testing is not available, air pressure testing can also be considered.
4. During the hot summer, it's advisable to use vegetable oil for lubrication; in the cold winter, rubber rings can be preheated with hot water to reduce hardness and facilitate quick installation.
