Everyone knows that once the fan coil installation is completed, it can be used normally. However, various issues have also arisen during use, and there have been unpleasant or dangerous incidents. So, how can we avoid these unsafe factors? After the fan coil installation is finished, are there any reassuring safety standards or basic guidelines? This would make everyone more at ease while using it and enjoy the process more. To find out these, today we will look at what Dezhou Shituo Air Conditioning Equipment Co., Ltd., a fan coil manufacturer, explains about the safety standards, which we refer to as the safety guidelines, or the acceptance requirements after the fan coil is completed. These safety standards also apply to our horizontal concealed fan coil units, as well as various types of fan coils, including horizontal exposed fan coils, horizontal concealed fan coils, vertical exposed fan coils, vertical concealed fan coils, cabinet-style fan coils, card-style fan coils, wall-mounted fan coils, and various new models, whether they are national or non-national standards, standard or ultra-thin fan coil units. Let's take a look at these knowledge explanations to see if they can help us.

Consumers on the market are increasingly emphasizing the safety of using fan coil units. Below, Dezhou Shituo Air Conditioning introduces some safety standards that should be met after the installation of fan coil units.
The safety requirements for fan coil units should comply with the provisions of ZBJ72-018.
The electrical connections of the fan coil should be neat and secure; the cable penetration holes and connectors should be fitted with insulating tubes or other appropriate protective measures.
Under normal temperature and humidity conditions, the insulation resistance between the energized and non-energized metallic parts of the fan coil unit is measured using a 500V insulation resistance meter. After continuous operation for 4 hours under the condensate test conditions specified in Table 6, the insulation resistance between the energized and non-energized parts, as well as the non-energized metallic parts, of the fan coil unit is re-measured using a 500V insulation resistance meter. The cold and hot state insulation resistance values to ground should not be less than 2MΩ.
For each speed level of the fan coil unit, apply a 1500V AC voltage at the rated frequency between the live parts and the non-live metallic parts when the unit is set to the "on" position. The initial application of voltage should not exceed half of the specified value, then rapidly increase to full value, and maintain for 1 minute. In mass production, 1800V voltage and a duration of 1 second may be used as an alternative.
After 4 hours of continuous operation according to the specified condensate test conditions for the 5 fan coil units, the temperature rise of the motor winding is immediately measured using the resistance method. The temperature rise calculation is in accordance with the provisions of GBA755.
6 Fan coil units shall operate continuously for 4 hours under the specified condensate test conditions as per the test conditions in Figure 5 and at 110% of rated voltage. The leakage current between the exposed metal parts of the fan coil unit and the power lines shall not exceed 1.5mA.
