Alumina Hydrate Product Introduction:
Alumina hydrate flame retardants feature non-toxicity, odorlessness, low viscosity, good dispersibility, high addition amount, high brightness, high purity, excellent flame retardant properties, and low sodium content. The company has 8 production lines for the production, research and development, and compounding of alumina hydrate flame retardants. It boasts unique manufacturing advantages in the production of high-brightness, medium-brightness, and ultra-fine alumina hydrate, particularly in terms of oil absorption rate, viscosity, particle size distribution, brightness, dispersibility, thixotropy, and modification. We design excellent alumina application solutions for customers, offering one-stop selection and personalized customization services. Our products are widely used in various industries such as composite materials (BMC/SMC), electronic copper clad boards, electrical switches, cables, integrated circuits, insulators, papermaking, fire-resistant building materials and coatings, potting compounds, plastic encapsulants, LED encapsulants, high-performance adhesives, artificial leather, polyurethane, polyamide, polyolefins, chlorinated polyvinyl, epoxy resins, unsaturated polyester resins, phenolic resins, synthetic rubber, and other functional high polymer flame retardants. Special fillers for agate, artificial marble, optical high-purity glass, and high-purity aluminum salt fillers. The company can customize production according to customer needs, such as particle size distribution control, coating, and compounding treatment.
Product Features:
High purity
(1) Excellent flame-retardant and smoke-suppressing properties—Upon heating and dehydration, it decomposes, forming a dense, solid protective film on the surface of combustible materials, which isolates oxygen. This effectively suppresses the temperature rise and thermal degradation of polymers, reduces smoke generation through adsorption and heat absorption, causing carbonization without producing flammable materials. Suitable for composite materials and plastics with processing temperatures below 220℃ and around 300℃ respectively.
(2) Excellent Insulation Properties - The fluidized bed purification process significantly reduces the content of impurities such as iron, sodium, and potassium ions.
2. High brightness – does not interfere with product dyeing and enhances color saturation and product appeal.
3. Low Silicon, Low Iron, Low Sodium - Contents are respectively below 0.01%, 0.006%, and 0.2%.
4. Uniformly concentrated and controllable particle size distribution.
5. Low oil absorption rate - Products produced by modern automatic control systems have an oil absorption rate reduced by over 20% compared to traditional mechanical crushing systems.
Usage Instructions:
1. Selection should be based on the performance requirements of the product when used alone. Particle size is closely related to the properties of the composite material; the smaller the particle size, the finer the surface texture and the more pronounced the reinforcing effect. However, the viscosity is also higher during blending, so please carefully adjust the formula to balance all properties.
2. Mixing fillers with different particle sizes, appropriately proportioned, can form a dense packing within the polymer system, enhancing flame-retardant properties. A rational blending system prevents the settling or floating of fillers, while also reducing the viscosity of the resin blend under equivalent amounts of filling, facilitating shear dispersion.
3. After ultra-fineness treatment, aluminum hydroxide, due to its increased specific surface area, tends to agglomerate, has poor compatibility with polymers, and is difficult to disperse uniformly, affecting the processing properties of composite materials. Hydrophobic aluminum hydroxide has good interfacial compatibility with high polymers, and the surface coating can undergo bonding reactions with the functional groups of the base resin, reducing the viscosity of the blend, eliminating interface stress concentration, and improving the mechanical properties of the composite materials. Therefore, it is recommended to use hydrophobic products.
4. Recommend determining the dosage through testing; samples (less than 5kg) are available free of charge.
Cautionary Notes:
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from ground moisture and high heat sources. Transportation: Non-hazardous; protect from water and moisture during transport, handle with care to prevent damage to packaging. Do not mix with other acidic or alkaline substances. Avoid exposure to air when relative humidity exceeds 80%, and reheat (to 110°C) if necessary before use. After use, ensure proper sealing to prevent moisture; it is recommended to use the contents upon unpacking.
Product Packaging:
Inner plastic, outer woven film bags in kraft paper packaging, net weight per bag: 50kg, 40kg, 25kg, or in ton bags. Custom packaging available upon customer request.
