Track-type open-end mixer trucks are suitable for construction work in mountainous areas, muddy terrain, and roads with steep gradients. This is primarily due to the track-based undercarriage they use, powered by a diesel engine, while the vehicle's mixing function is powered by hydraulic power. Mixing and movement are driven by separate power sources, as track mixers can walk and mix simultaneously. The power between the two functions is not affected by this.
Track-type flat-mixer trucks can force-mix concrete, which means it's not just for low-slump concrete. It can handle mixing tasks. However, mixing dry concrete may cause issues with discharge, requiring modification of the discharge opening.
