High-Temperature Alloys Knowledge
High-temperature alloys are a class of alloys used in high-temperature, severe mechanical stress, and oxidation/corrosion environments. With the development of the scientific and technological cause, high-temperature alloys have gradually formed into six categories.
One. Deformed High-Temperature Alloys
Forming high-temperature alloys are a type of alloy that can undergo both hot and cold deformation processing, with operating temperature ranges from -253°C to 1320°C. They exhibit excellent mechanical properties and comprehensive strength and toughness indices, as well as high oxidation and corrosion resistance. These alloys can be categorized into solid solution strengthened and age-hardened alloys based on their heat treatment processes.

1. Solution Strengthened Alloy
The temperature range for use is 900~1300°C, with an oxidation temperature up to 1320°C. For instance, GH128 alloy has a tensile strength of 850MPa and yield strength of 350MPa at room temperature; at 1000°C, it has a tensile strength of 140MPa and elongation of 85%. At 1000°C and 30MPa stress, its endurance life is 200 hours with an elongation of 40%. Austenitic alloys are generally used for manufacturing components such as combustion chambers and casings for aerospace and aviation engines.

2. Time-sensitive reinforced alloy
Used at temperatures ranging from -253℃ to 950℃, typically for manufacturing components like turbine disks and blades for aviation and aerospace engines. The alloy for turbine disk production operates at temperatures from -253℃ to 700℃, requiring excellent high and low-temperature strength and fatigue resistance. For instance, GH4169 alloy achieves a yield strength of 1000MPa at 650℃; the alloy for blade production can reach 950℃, such as GH220 alloy, which has a tensile strength of 490MPa at 950℃ and a tensile life exceeding 40 hours at 940℃ and 200MPa.

Forming high-temperature alloys primarily supply structural forgings, billets, rings, bars, plates, tubes, strips, and wires for aerospace, aviation, nuclear energy, and civil petrochemical industries.
High-temperature alloys encompass a broad category with various grades, as each material has its own density differences.
Incoloy 800H is a Fe-Ni-Cr based solid solution strengthened deformed high-temperature corrosion-resistant alloy, suitable for use below 1000℃. Shanghai Yuan Ding believes that Incoloy 800H boasts excellent resistance to high-temperature internal corrosion and good processability. It has good structural stability, excellent machining and welding properties, and is easily formed through both cold and hot working. It is ideal for manufacturing components that operate under severe corrosion conditions and require high-temperature, long-duration service, and comes in forms such as bars, plates, tubes, strips, and forgings.
