The origin is from Tang Dynasty poet Liu Xiyi's "Xiang He Ge Ci - Jiangnan Qu Ba Shou": "Boats painted in smoke, with the faint glow of spring sun." It is said that Emperor Qianlong used such a boat during his sixth visit to Jiangnan. They stand prominently at the bow, with beautiful women's seats, coiling dragon pillars, colorful paintings... The bas-relief coiling dragons and auspicious clouds on the dragon pillars are layered, each level perfectly placed, with the fine carving detailed enough to count every scale on the dragon's body.
