Large-scale catering ship props, Anhui Lu'an Wooden Boat Manufacturing Factory

The source is from Tang Dynasty poet Liu Xiyi's "Xianghe GeCi - Jiangnan Qu" where it says, "The painted boat glides in the mist, the bright sun at the edge of the sky." It is said that the boat of Emperor Qianlong, who visited the South of the Yangtze six times, was of this kind. The luxurious yet classical painted boat features architecture modeled after ancient Chinese pavilions, terraces, and towers, with intricate craftsmanship and stringent requirements. The characteristics of the ancient painted boat, such as flying eaves and pointed corners, and delicate corner pavilions, gradually take shape, prominently standing at the bow. Beauty seats, coiled dragon columns, colorful paintings... The bas-relief coiled dragons and auspicious clouds on the dragon columns are layered one over the other, each layer neatly arranged. The carving is so fine that every scale on the dragon can be counted individually. This is a symbol of ancient royal heritage, fully demonstrated on the painted boat. The Xinghua wooden boat-making craft is a local traditional handicraft in Xinghua City, Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, with heritage number: Ⅶ-23. The city of Xinghua, Taizhou, successfully申报 this craft in 2006. In the Ming Dynasty, this craft mainly produced agricultural boats and river fishing boats. By the end of the Qing Dynasty, the making of bamboo and wooden boats in Zhuhong had become prominent. The town was mainly inhabited by several large families such as Zhou, Zheng, Chen, Wang, Feng, Cui, and Li, who engaged in the pure manual production of agricultural, fishing, and commercial wooden boats, which continues to this day.
